Ordo Polycladida

Archoophoran turbellarians. A pair of anterior marginal or dorsal tentacles may be present. Intestine elongate and centrally located, with many highly branched diverticula. Plicate pharynx either an anteriorly directed tube or pendant from the roof of the pharyngeal cavity. Only marine species.
