Description:
The animal possesses an elongate oval body, which tapers anteriorly, less so posteriorly. It reaches a length of up to 34 mm and a width of 14 mm, being broadest behind the middle of the body. Tentacles are absent. The colour varies from whitish to faintly reddish. The eyes are small and difficult to detect; over the cerebral organ lie two elongate clusters of few cerebral eyes and behind these, somewhat laterally, two small groups of tentacular eyes; frontal eyes are few and isolated; marginal eyes are numerous anteriorly, becoming fewer posteriorly to disappear at the hinder level of the pharynx.
The female genital pore is situated immediately posterior to the pharynx, conspicuous through the thickening of the vaginal musculature. The male pore is posterior to the female one. The vasa deferentia are lateral to the uterine canals.
Habitat:
On mud and sand between depths of 14 and 140 m.
Distribution:
Scandinavia to off west coast of Marocco.
