Description:
Animal with an elongate oval body, which is tapering towards both ends. Up to 25 mm long and 12 mm wide. The nuchal tentacles are feebly developed or not apparent. Living worms are translucent, lightly tinged with red. Genital organs and pharynx appear whitish. The eyes are minute; marginal eyes are situated in the anterior half of the body and they are difficult to detect; frontal eyes are few; tentacular eyes are situated in two small groups well behind the pair of elongate cerebral eye clusters. The mouth is centrally placed. The intestinal trunk is short. Intestinal branches do not anastomose.
The male genital pore is anterior to the female pore. The main prostatic organ is muscular, pyriform and immediately posterior to the pharynx. Many similar, but smaller, organs are scattered over the posterior region of the body, opening independently on the ventral surface. The vasa deferentia are lateral to the uterine canals, which extend anteriorly to the middle level of the pharynx. The vagina is moderately long, provided with vagina bulbosa; the Lang's vesicle is very small; the uterine canals are not confluent anteriorly.
Life-cycle not known.
Habitat:
On mud at depths between 14 and 40 m.

Sweden and Skagerrak.
